When I sailed aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Pride back in August, one of the coolest things I experienced (well, peripherally at least) was a new take on the line’s Seuss-a-Palooza character parade and storytime that’s designed for kids in conjunction with Dr. Seuss Enterprises. It’s an initiative that is designed to get kids to understand the importance of voting through the one and only, Cat in the Hat.
Yes, that’s right – the Cat in the Hat is running for President of the United States. He’s got style, substance, and his own #CatinHat4Prez hashtag. Onboard Carnival’s ships, kids are encouraged to vote for Cat in the Hat for President by depositing a ballot in the Kid’s Clubs onboard. But if you don’t vote, the Cat in the Hat might not win.
Carnival’s new #CatinHat4Prez initiative is timed to coincide with the release of the new Dr. Seuss book, One Vote, Two Votes, I Vote, You Vote, that teaches kids about the election process and the importance of voting.
Recently, the Cat in the Hat hit the campaign trail at St. Jude C
