MSC Cruises, a UNICEF partner since 2009, has announced the successful fundraising of $4.4 million (4 million euro) onboard their ships to support child nutrition initiatives by UNICEF. The $4.4 million check was officially presented to UNICEF officials by MSC executives yesterday at a special ceremony at the Expo Milano 2015.
The partnership, officially named ‘Get on Board for Children,’ encourages guests sailing aboard MSC Cruises to donate a $1 amount on their bill at the end of the cruise to support food aid and child nutrition initiatives by UNICEF. Guests have the option to increase the donation amount and purchase branded UNICEF products in the onboard gift shop.
