Following the MSC Armonia‘s improvements, MSC Cruises has similarly lengthened and upgraded the MSC Sinfonia as part of the cruise line’s $273 million Renaissance Program to enhance its four Lirica-class vessels. The renewed cruise ship left the Fincantieri Italian shipyard after 10 week’s worth of work including more balcony staterooms, enlarged pubic spaces, greater restaurant options, and new youth facilities and Spray Park.

The new Spray Park features waterfalls and water slides, and the kids clubs highlight Chicco® and LEGO® products. The biggest improvement to the ship was actually LEGO®-like in construction. The ship was bisected and a new 78-foot long section was added midship. Next up to receive similar enhancements is the MSC Opera in April 2015 and MSC Lirica in August 2015.

MSC Cruises is growing across the board with two new classes of ships being introduced beyond the Lirica-class enhancements. The independently unique Seaside and Vista projects are under development with the MSC Seaside set to be christened in Miami in Novemebr 2017, where the ship will be based year-round for cruises in the Caribbean.
