New Carnival Vista Begins Construction

February 21, 2014 by Jason Leppert

Carnival Cruise Lines announced today the initial construction of the new Carnival Vista, indicating that the new cruise ship’s first steel was cut (as seen in the header image above) for the vessel at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy earlier this week.

Few details about the ship have yet been revealed besides its size and capacity. At 135,000 tons and with a capacity of 4,000 passengers, the cruise ship will be the largest in the Carnival fleet when it’s launched in spring 2016.

Carnival Cruise Lines says the ship “will feature a variety of dining, bar and entertainment options that are part of the line’s Fun Ship 2.0 product enhancement initiative as well as several innovations unique to this vessel.”

Stay tuned here for more information about the new cruise ship to come in the future. In the meantime, are you excited to see a new cruise ship on the horizon for Carnival Cruise Lines? Please feel free to share your opinion in the “Leave a Reply” section below…
