Norwegian Cruise Line‘s next Norwegian Escape is fast approaching the new cruise ship’s launch in October 2015, and as it’s under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, additional features continue to be announced. Today a flurry of news anticipates hot and cool areas to relax at onboard at the Mandara Spa and Spice H2O (rendered above).
The Norwegian Escape‘s two-deck spa facility will be elevated to new levels with the largest Thermal Suite at sea. Features will include 17 heated loungers, hydro-therapy pool, whirlpools, steam room, dry sauna, sanarium and salt room. Entirely new for the line will be the Snow Room – a cave-themed retreat that sprinkles snow down on guests at temperatures ranging from 21 to 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Other spa highlights will include 24 treatment rooms, “offering more than 50 signature services for both men and women including massages such as the Elemis Aroma Spa Seaweed Massage; Elemis signature facials such as the luxurious Elemis Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Facial; and signature body enhancing treatments like the Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow,” according to the line. Plus, there will be a full-service salon and complete fitness center.
The complimentary adults-only deck space from the Norwegian Breakaway and Getaway returns with a new look on the Norwegian Escape. Here, the water feature is now a full grotto with realistic rock-work and waterfalls to cool off under (rendered in the header above). Two hot tubs and plenty of sun loungers also line the area and face the outdoor video screen as the dedicated bar serves cocktails. Additionally, with an access fee, the Vibe Beach Club is a luxurious deck space available to adults.
