Remembering AmaWaterways’ Jimmy Murphy

The first river cruise I ever took was aboard AmaWaterways’ AmaLyra. To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect from the experience. What I got was an introduction to a fabulous style of travel and cruising that has only increased in popularity since I first set out back in 2011.

AmaWaterways was the creation of three very talented people: Kristin Karst, Jimmy Murphy and Rudi Schriener, who formed AmaWaterways (then called Amadeus Waterways) back in 2002.
