Royal Caribbean International Begins Building Newly Named Ovation of the Seas

The new Quantum of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International is just around the corner from being launched, and already the third ship in the Quantum-class has begun construction. Following the Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas will be the newly named Ovation of the Seas which just had its first piece of steel cut at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.

Present for the cruise ship’s milestone was Richard D. Fain, Chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., who signed a ceremonial cutout of the ship’s profile (pictured above). The new ship will be delivered in the fall of 2016. Stay tuned for more information.
