Royal Caribbean International’s Voyager of the Seas Receives Improvements

December 1, 2014 by Jason Leppert

Following a month-long $80-million renovation, the Voyager of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International has received a number of enhancements. Highlights include a newly installed FlowRider surf simulator on the upper deck (pictured above) and Virtual Balcony staterooms that display the live view from outside for interior cabins.

New dining options now available on Voyager of the Seas are Izumi Japanese Cuisine, Giovanni’s Table Italian trattoria and Chops Grille steakhouse. Elsewhere, a 3-D cinema, digital signage and a new Diamond Club for Crown and Anchor Society members were added.

Once the largest cruise ship in the world, the Voyager of the Seas remains the largest based in Asian Pacific waters. For the 2014/2015 winter-spring season, the cruise ship will be based in Sydney. In April 2015, she will make her way back to Singapore, featuring 10-night Asian cruises, and from June to October of 2015, she will be based in Hong Kong, sailing 22 roundtrip 3- to 10-night Asian cruises.
